Sasa Scheiner

Sasa’s passion for pottery began more than 27 years ago in London, with Helena Giras. From 2000-2016 Sasa studied with Barbara Campbell-Allen (OAM) at the Workshop Art Centre (WAC) in Sydney. During that time Sasa participated in many group and solo ceramic and art exhibitions. Further developed and refinement of technical skills and personal practice was done at Northern Beaches Tafe. in Sydney.

In 2016 Sasa and family relocated to the lush green valleys of the Byron Hinterland. Before realising the dream of her own studio, Sasa was fortunate to work in the beautiful studio space of fellow ceramicist, Karen Jennings. This allowed her work to continue and to become established in the vibrant local Northern Rivers pottery community.

With her custom-built studio now complete she works full-time and  runs workshops and private classes there sharing her extensive knowledge and experience of ceramics.

The sensual highly original sculptural forms invite the viewer to engage in a visceral response, in the same way we respond when we are awed by natural beauty in the wild.  Since 2012 Sasa has expanded and developed a range of now sought after unique Lava Stone functional tableware.
